Should i submit my website to directories

I would most definitely say yes, Why?, well because getting traffic to your website is a bonus but to be able to get quality targeted traffic to your website is something else.

You don't really want people stumbling on your website or be there having clicked in error through some link.

What would be the point? You want visitors to your website to be there because they want to be there.

You will have a much better audience if they are interested in your content, and they are more likely to stay on your website longer which will make you more money however you are monetizing your website.

There are hundreds of thousands and if you pick the correct category for your url then you can get some decent targeted hits.

There is more than likely a directory for every type of website or product; it just takes a bit of research but think of all those targeted hits you can get at the end of it.

For an example if you're a solicitor and your company specializes in many fields such as nursing home abuse, criminal law and financial then your website may be split to cater for these fields them add each site to the correct category.

How to Get Indexed By Google

Many webmasters will use what is called black hat methods in order to get their web sites indexed by google. I would recommend that you avoid such methods, it is not worth the risk. Google is clever and can penalize your web site or blog. How to get penalized by search engines. If you are serious about your Internet marketing campaign then you want to be on the good side of google and make sure your website or blog meets all of googles standards.

How to get Indexed by Google

You can use the submit URL tool with google but you will be in for a lengthy wait, It can take anything from 3-6 weeks. I have tried and tested many methods to get a site indexed by google fast and here are my findings. This is a method i always follow and has not yet let me down. Some of you will have other ways so please feel free to share them with other readers.

(1)Create around 5 pages of good quality content, if you have a blog then a minimum of 5 posts, i have managed to get blogs indexed with as little as 2 posts but i would aim for 5 to begin with, google loves content. Make sure your content is not duplicated from any other site and that it is keyword enriched, i aim for 3-5% keyword density on my chosen keywords. If you over do your keywords then google will think you are spamming and this will effect your search engine ranking.

(2)Get back links from high PR sites. This is one of the key factors that will determine the speed in which you get indexed by google. The web site that you get the link from must be on the same niche as your web site. If you need help finding a website to get to link to you then enter your keyword in the google search bar and look for high PR web sites that except links. Alternatively if the website you want to link with does not have a submit URL form then pop them an email. Most webmasters are happy to swap links.

(3)Submit articles to article directories such as digg.com and goarticles.com These are the two article directories i would highly recommend you submit your articles to. Especially digg. Make sure your article contains a link to your site.

(4)Join google webmaster tools, add your URL and verify your site. This will be your hub for finding out how google sees your site. You can see when google index your web site and also see any potential errors that are stopping you from getting indexed by google.

(5) Add a site map and submit the sit map URL to webmaster tools. A site map will tell google about your pages. If you need help making a site map i will include these instructions in my next post.

Ways to Get Free Traffic

1. Get indexed by Google How to get indexed by Google Fast There are many people offering to get you listed on search engines quickly for a price. Why pay when you can do it yourself. The article above tells you how to get indexed.

2. Submit to Directories. They are like sub-domains of search engines, and there are thousands out there, you need to pick out the free ones and submit your website url to each one Search Engine Submission Software is again the software I recommend to fill in all the directory forms for you, it saves you so much time, especially if your serious about blogging or website content. Alternatively you can manualy submit your url to the directories.

3. Ping your site What are pings Pinging is telling the search engines and directories you have updated your blog/site. Don’t do this more than twice a week, and only do it when you update your blog/sites content, over pinging can lower the blogs ranking

4.Atract visitors with similar interests Search out blogs that have similar interest to yours and leave comments, this will give readers a free link to your blog also check out tips for social networking

5. Update content regularly Make a blog post or website content as often as possible, stick to writing what you know about. Search engines reward sites for good content that is relevant to the site. For help writing a good blog

6. Get high search engine ranking. It is well known that websites that organically appear above the first page fold on search engine results are most likely to be clicked. I recommend this free seo tool . It tells you what you need to do with your website to improve its search engine ranking, it gives you step by step instructions to tweak your site. It also gives you top secret information on your main competitors, use the information to get a better search engine ranking than them

7. Use paid ads such as adwords. This can get costly so be sure to know what you are doing before you take this path.

8. Persevere! Never get complacent, anyone can come along and knock you off your spot, keep this website as favourites and make sure you follow its steps. In my next posts I will give more tips to help you stay visible. You will need to tweak your site regularly if you want to keep those visitors

get google adwords free

This is an incredible system developed by none other than Dr Jon Cohen, MD (retired) who found a little-known “twist” in how to use the pay-per-click (PPC) and paid-for targeted advertising programs at Google™ and the other search engines.
Dr Jon has personally used this to:

Eliminate over $87 million in otherwise paid-for and PPC ads at Google™ and other search engines over the course of about 9 years now!
Generate over $314 million in product sales as a result of this incredible savings! Acquire a personal wealth of more than $68 million! (Net)
Start and develop 16 online ventures of his own.
Has coached “live” where he taught others this same amazing formula - including 198 executives from major Fortune 500 and FortuneSM 1000 companies, 14 representatives of publicly-traded companies on the New York Stock ExchangeSM (NYSE), 82 more on the NASDAQ®, 5 members of investment houses on the American Stock ExchangeSM (AMEX), as well as at least one former US Congressman (now retired also) who now stays at home and runs a home-based online family business, among countless others.
This system has nothing to do with Google “vouchers” or “AdWords™ credits.”

Also, it has nothing to do with adding any special magical “code” or “script” to your website that will bar Google and other search engines from being able to bill you.

Instead, Dr Jon’s system is very unique to say the least, and allows for the elimination of advertisers having to suffer the burden of costs of their Google and otherwise paid-for search engine advertising expenses!

It can even create many additional streams of income flooding money directly into your pocket very quickly!

Never Revealed Adsense Secrets Exposed In Video

Boost Adsense Revenue secret weaponss
Boost Adsense Revenue With Secret Weapons and Ready Adsense Empire

The videos we saw in the previous post would teach you the techniques on how to boost adsense income to a level you could only dream of. The following are tools that would complement the techniques, and give you a good headstart in earning adsense income and ramping your profits up quickly.

Adsense Gold
What if you know the correct adsense ad format and position, most profitable keywords to use, have tons of useful informational content and can track the performance of your ads to the finest details? Surely that can boost adsense for you in a huge way.

Adsense Gold essentially does all these things for you. It is a complete package with ebook, keyword lists and adsense ad tracking software. You will find an ebook that teaches you how to choose the right ad format and position it in the right spots for the maximum CTR. There is also a ready keyword list with 3600 top paying keywords and free updates. You will also be given over 11,000 articles that you can use as content for your websites.

But the best part of the package lies in the Adsense Tracker. With this cool piece of software, you would know what content is pulling in traffic and clicks, which are the best ad formats, placement and color for maximum CTR and profits. It also tells you where the traffic is coming from and what keywords should you be optimizing for the search engines.

This is a great tool to invest in if you intend to boost adsense revenue and make adsense your long-term income earner.
AdsenseReady is one of the quickest ways for any webmaster especially a newbie to start earning good google adsense income. Since its launch in 2006, it has been a runaway success. It is basically a package of 150 complete websites on some of the most popular and high paying topics. Installation is a breeze. The installation tutorial is a no-brainer and you could get them set up to start bringing in clicks quickly.

The creators of AdsenseReady are already making good money out of adsense and understand the need to create unique content. You would realize that AdsenseReady allows for customization of these sites, whether it is the H1 and title tags, keywords or RSS feeds, you can modify them and the search engines would see your sites as unique.

All the websites are content-rich and optimized for the search engines so that you can start drawing traffic to boost adsense revenue fast.

Instant Adsense Empire

Instant Adsense Empire works on the same concept as AdsenseReady websites. But the package is larger and provides 237 content-rich and keyword-rich websites with over 26,000 pages of content. All the websites are search engine optimized. The set up is simple and all you need is to edit the configuration file and insert your Adsense ID.

The simplicity and generous package makes it a perfect way to start with Adsense for beginners. For the experienced webmasters, it can boost adsense revenue significantly.

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Videos

Another set of adsense videos that would benefit you greatly is Michael Cheney’s Adsense videos. I take off my hat to this man who managed to build an income in excess of $20,000 every month without running thousands of websites. That’s about $700 of google adsense earnings everyday. Wow! Typically, a webmaster would need hundreds to thousands of websites to generate this kind of income.

If you are not into mass production of websites and get sick and tired of cranking site after site, this is the guy you should learn from. This man does not pay much attention to its sales page but do not judge the content by its cover. The 9 part video series are easy to understand and simple to duplicate. You would laugh at yourself or even beat yourself for overlooking these powerful steps that have dramatically improved the click-through rates for many webmasters. Here’s a quick run through on what to expect from Michael’s video series.

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 1 – Master the Basics

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 2 – Lay Strong Foundations

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 3 – Create Your Money Pages

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 4 – Power Up Your AdSense Income (Part 1)

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 5 – Power Up Your AdSense Income (Part 2)

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 6 – Learn From The Adsense Professionals

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 7 – Test Your Way To Riches

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 8 – Explode Earnings Exponentially

Michael Cheney’s Adsense Video Part 9 – Earn More From Each Page

Michael has thrown in some bonus videos that use real examples to illustrate what you can do and what you should avoid with adsense. These bonuses alone are worth more than what you are paying the whole package for.

But to be frank, if you want me to compare Adsense Decoded and Michael’s Adsense Videos, I can say that both have their fair share of merits. But Adsense Decoded is suitable for all levels of adsense mastery while Michael Cheney’s Adsense Videos are more geared towards beginner to intermediate learners. Nonetheless, there are still great tips that can boost adsense revenue tremendously even if you are a veteran.

This is not all। Read the next post for other powerful tools that can put your google adsense income on autopilot mode.
Boost Adsense Revenue - Tips (Part 2)

Boost adsense revenue tips (Part 2) will take you behind the scene to see what tricks webmasters are using to boost adsense earnings.

1. Run Article Directories

Article directories are huge directories of articles submitted by webmasters. You are probably already familiar with them. But if not, go to an article directory such as EzineArticles and browse through the site. Take a close look at each article. Notice those google adsense advertisements? Search engine spiders love to spider and index new content and you can be sure that article directories are favorite hot beds for these spiders. Article directories rise in Google page rank very quickly and attract many visitors. Can the surges of traffic help boost adsense revenue for you? Think about it.

2. Blogging

Heard of millionaire bloggers? This is no joke. There are really millionaires that created such fortunes using blogs and google adsense income. Blogs are popular among the internet community and search engine spiders love them because of the ever-changing updated fresh content. Blogs like Blogger blogs are search engine optimized and rank fast in the search engines.

Hint: Use Blogger blogs (they are favoured by Google) laden with Adsense ads. Be sure to post regularly, no more than 2 times daily and your blog will gain high Google Page Rank within 1 – 2 months. I have many blogs that grew to PR 3 within 1 month or so.

This can really boost Adsense revenue significantly for you.

3. Adsense Arbitrage

Adsense arbitrage has many names such as click swaps, click exchanges or click trading. They all mean the same thing. What you are doing is basically pay cheap clicks for expensive ones. The typical strategy is like this.

a. Set up a mini website, probably 1 – 5 pages. Each website is loaded with content containing high paying keywords and pasted with google advertisements.

b. Set up a campaign at Adwords

c. Compile a huge list of topic-related keywords

d. Set maximum cost per click at 5 cents.

e. Repeat this for another website. Do it for 50 – 100 websites

In summary, you pay cheap 5 cent clicks for each visitor. When the visitor clicks on those expensive text ads on your website, you get paid much more. There are ways to play this approach better to boost adsense revenue even further.

a. Use other cheaper pay-per-click advertising such as GoClick, 7Search.com and Miva to drive traffic. But make sure your website has meaningful content in order not to break the TOS of Google Adsense.

b. Build websites on themes that pay above $1 per click. The reason is not every visitor that lands on your website would click on the google ads. Assuming you are paying 5 cents per visitor, as long as 1 visitor clicks out of every 10 visitors, your google adsense earnings would be $2 for every $1 spent on advertising.

c. Never use this method on cheap and poor converting topics. You will run at a loss.

d. Remember to use call-to-action words like “learn how”, “find out”, “discover”, “free”, “buy”, “how to”, “review” as prefixes or suffixes with your keywords and in the content body.

4. Recycle Traffic

This is a technique used by top google adsense income earners in the market. Whether you are using paid traffic via PPC or organic traffic from the search engines, make every visitor count for you. Here are a few excellent google adsense tips I discovered that would boost adsense revenue substantially.

a. Break Main Content into Sub-pages

Break up your main web topic into sub-topics and create one individual page on each sub-topic. Many webmasters are eager to pack all their information into one single page. What happens is your reader may read the whole article, do nothing and leave. Why not make them stay longer by breaking the whole article into many pages, each elaborating on one point? This dramatically increases the potential for more clicks to boost adsense revenue.

b. Offer a Free Email Newsletter

Create 5-part or 7-part series email newsletters for your visitors. The goal is to capture this visitor’s email address into your autoresponder series. Your autoresponder will follow up with him/her with the newsletter emails, each embedded with a link to your website. In this manner, there is a higher chance your visitor will become a repeated visitor to your site, and this means more clicks to boost adsense revenue for you.

5. Optimize for Long-Tail Keywords

In case you do not know, search engines rank web pages not websites. Don’t be surprised. You can have a PR 4 home page but PR 1 sub page or vice versa. It is entirely possible. But this is good news as you can focus on optimizing each web page for a few long-tail keywords that have moderate demand and low competition. Target about 10 of such keywords for each website.

Long-tail keywords are extension of the main root keyword phrase. For example, ‘adsense revenue’ can be main keyword phrase, while ‘boost adsense revenue’ and ‘tools to increase adsense revenue’ are long-tails. Moderate demand means anything less than 1000 searches per month or 30 search per day. Low competition means normal search engine results of less than 2 million, and less than 2000 search engine results for long-tail keywords in quotes “long-tail keyword” eg “boost adsense revenue” and “tools to increase adsense”.

It is much easier to rank your websites within top 10 using long-tail keywords. 30 searches per day is not a lot, but it adds up when your website is optimized for 10 of such keywords.

Hope this has been useful for you। In the next post, we will take a peek at the tools adsense gurus are using daily to drive obscene amounts of traffic and boost adsense revenue.

Starting off as Virtual Assistant

A Virtual Assistant does many different things. The area of expertise for a VA is going to depend on each individual. Most virtual assistants provide services to business owners that they do not have the time to do themselves such as checking and replying to emails, article submissions, website updating, forum moderation, transcribing audio, sending newsletters, and many more.

What skills are helpful?
To be a VA or to become one it is helpful to have some skills such as basic computer knowledge, time management, organizational skills, and self discipline. Self discipline is important because you need to be able to make yourself sit down and work even if you don’t feel like it; working from home there will always be ‘life’ to get in the way but with a little self discipline you can make it work.

Time management is another important area that you should have some area of skill in. You need to be able to manage your time well so that you can complete projects in a timely fashion; you want to have a pretty quick turn around time on projects if possible. Last but certainly not least is organizational skills. You have to keep your clients information organized so that you can easily access things such as instructions for ongoing projects, etc.

What tools are needed?

You want to have a phone line, computer, printer and high speed internet connection. A fax line is another option that you might want to consider. Depending on the services you will be offering you might also need Microsoft Front Page, Word, Excel, etc. The basic tools needed are the first few that were mentioned – phone line, computer, printer and high speed internet – but depending on the areas of expertise that you will be offering will help you decide on any additional tools that you might need.

How do you get started?

To get started as a virtual assistant you need to purchase a domain name and create a website (or have one built for you) explaining your services and what you offer. Get involved in some online networking groups so that you can get the word out about your business and so that you can build relationships with possible clients.

Finding that first client will be the hardest and probably most challenging aspect of creating your VA business but once you have picked up that client and done some great work for them keep in mind that word of mouth goes a long way! Happy clients will refer other people to you for your services!

Keep in mind that beginning a VA business, along with any other business is a process that will take time, dedication, discipline and the motivation to keep going. Many people expect to start a home based business and make money overnight but the reality is that it takes time to build up a business. Get involved in some online networking groups/forums where you can ask questions, receive feedback and encouragement and build some friendships. Find a mentor or someone that will help you through the process. Remember the saying – where there is a will there is a way!

Where to find the best seasonal jobs

You may not have to look very far to find the perfect job for you. Your interests are reflected in the stores you frequent the most, and employers like to hire people who are knowledgeable and invested in their business. Here are some of the industries that get hot when it gets cool outside:

Retail jobs

This is a no-brainer. People buy more stuff during the holiday months. And they buy it at stores. Hence, more employees are needed for retail jobs. This is where you come in. Whether you want to refold shirts just yards from the mall food court or restock the aisles of your local toy store, the possibilities are endless. SuperStores such as Party City, Toys, Target, and Bed Bath & Beyond will all certainly be hiring extra workers this season. Be sure to ask potential employers if they offer an employee discount; you might be able to pick up gifts, like a back-scratcher for Dad and some bubble bath for Mom, without being cheap!

Restaurant jobs

Holiday foot traffic picks up at both fast food joints, such as Pizza Hut’s and McDonald’s, as well as casual dining eateries, including Romano’s Macaroni Grill and The Cheesecake Factory. Not only are people grabbing bites on the go between shopping stops, but they’re meeting up with family and friends. And when you’re spending days slaving in the kitchen on the year’s most anticipated home-cooked meals, you need a break from the potato peeler and the turkey baster at some point. Since restaurants are open later than your typical business, there’s added flexibility in the hours for restaurant jobs. And if you’re eligible for an employee discount, free or discounted grub will help you afford grabbing gifts for the grandparents and second cousins on your list.

Resort jobs and winter wonderlands

Hotels, ski resorts and ice skating rinks see a huge increase in their business in the winter and around the holidays. Not only will you have plenty to keep you busy, but you could get a discount on ski rentals, hotel stays or free ice skating passes for you and your friends. You could also join the wait staff at a resort or hotel restaurant, in which case you could score free or discounted meals. Besides, there’s nothing like a little snow and ice to really get you into the holiday spirit.

PPC Advertising for Maximum Web Promotion

Engaging in payperclick
(PPC) advertising has its own benefits and
drawbacks. But what exactly is PPC advertising and what it can do to
your business?
Business nowadays is doing different kinds of austerity measures when
it comes to advertising their products and services. This is because of
high rates of placing ads on print and on television. But there is a fast
growing approach that businessmen can utilize to bring their services
closer to the people and that is through Internet Marketing.
One tool that is causing internet marketing popularity is PPC
advertising. This is a technique used in search engine marketing that
requires one to pay a fee every time someone clicks an ad on your
website.
Usually this placement is done through a bidding process. If you are a
top bidder for your keywords/phrases, you are sure to be on the
number one spot on all search engines. Just be sure of the
effectiveness of your ad copy to get the most number of clicks you
need for your business.
Here are the benefits of PPC advertising are:
1. You need not be a genius in computer and technology to be able
to run this ad campaign.
2. Immediate results are seen after a few days.
3. No need to make a website conform to the SEO rules.
4. Nothing to lose even if you do not top the pages of different
search engines. You can still always choose PPC advertising.
5. You can make use any search engine available.
6. You can type in any keyword you like.
Cons of PPC advertising includes:
1. Fixed payments every month to the search engine you choose.
2. Pay for each click received by your website. At times, visitors are
just competitors or people playing pranks on search engines.
This hassle wastes money you put in to this advertising.
3. Inability to pay for the fees next month would mean removal of
your website on the paid listings.
4. This advertising can only be used temporarily because it is
difficult to handle in the long run.
5. Payperclick
pricing can be costly for long periods of time,
therefore, this should be stopped after an ad campaign.
But how exactly PPC advertising can increase traffic, leads and sales?
PREQUALIFIED
TRAFFIC. All visitors of your website are already
considered as a qualified consumer or buyer of your product. PPC
advertising leads your customers to you for a lesser cost.
INSTANT EXPOSURE, IMMEDIATE PROFITS. PPC search engines enable
you to get your desired results fast. They will have your website live
within just a few hours which means immediate increase in sale.
CONSISTENT TOP LISTINGS. This is to get your website on top of the
sponsored search results for free. You just have to choose the
keywords related to your site and business and place them within your
web pages. After this, you are done.
PPC advertising enables advertisers to control their advertising
campaigns. Advertisers have effectively targeted their audience and
set their own price per click. PPC advertising networks provide the
platform to identify the desired audience by geographic setting, topic
and industry. These networks have a list of websites of the publishers
where the ads will be placed.
Tools are provided by the networks to check how the pay per click
limit is working for a certain advertiser. If it is still competitive, would
it be even listed among the paid search lists or does it generate sales?
Of course, if the advertiser made the highest bid, the better chances
the ad will be seen in the search engine. These networks too provide
protection for the advertisers against click fraud.
This advertising setup
allows advertisers to set a daily budget for his
ads, thus, less spending for unnecessary clicks. Advertiser will never
go over his budget.
In PPC advertising, what are important are the keywords and phrases.
You have to select at least ten "very specific" keywords that would
give you the best traffic in the search. Then, write the ad creatively
but straightforward.
Tell the truth about your product or service and do not lie. Good thing
if your product or service will not disappoint those that are relying on
your ad's promise but
what if it did otherwise? Important too is the
clarity of the ad. Do not use very vague languages. Include important
details like the price.
You should also remember to budget your bids. Do not go overbidding
because you will only lose your money and do not go so low that your
ads will never get the chance to show up. Check your profit against
your spending. If you see no progress then most likely you have to
drop your ad campaign.
More and more advertisers have been using PPC advertising and it will
continue to grow faster than any online advertising techniques. From
revenues of $2.6 billion in 2004 to $5.5 billion in 2009, cost per click
will dramatically go up as well from $0.29 to $0.36.
PPC advertising is new in online marketing and it is going to continue
in the years to come. For advertisers, this means increase revenues
with fewer advertising expenses, savings, more sales, good return of
investment (ROI) and effective ad campaigns in the days to come.
PPC Bid Management
Tools for Internet Marketing have been rising to popularity these days
because of costeffectiveness
and the possibility of measuring increase
in profits and sales.
Pay per click (PPC) is a means to advertise business through the use
of keywords/phrases in the search engines. The advertiser is required
to only pay for each click that sends a visitor to his website. Search
engines such as Overture, Google Adwords, Search Yahoo and Miva
are just some examples of search engines.
They offer top positions among the sponsored listings for particular
keywords/phrases you choose. The idea for bidding is you have to
buy/bid on keywords/phrases relevant to your business.
The highest bidder gets to be on the top of the search result listing
and the second highest bidder, of course, gets the next top listing and
so on. Every time a visitor clicks on your website, you will have to pay
the same amount that you bid on that particular keyword.
PPC can be very costly, time consuming and sometimes not worthy.
But if you know how to go about the step by step procedures, PPC is a
welcome change to traditional advertising.
If you do your searches for products, articles and auctions in the net,
you usually type in a keyword or a set of phrase to guide you in your
search. Either you use Google or Yahoo Search depending on where
you are most comfortable at and where you usually get the best
results.
As soon as you key in the search button, immediately a long list of
keywords or phrase will be displayed containing the keywords you key
in. The first or the top link that you saw is most likely the one who
bids the highest for that keyword you type.
In this way, businessmen will produce the desired results; they get to
be advertised, at the same time, saving and spending only for the
clicks they need that might translate to potential sales.
The way to start PPC bid management is to identify first the maximum
cost per click (CPC) you are willing to pay for a given keyword or
phrase. CPC varies from time and even search engine to search engine
too. Maximum CPC can be measured by averaging the current costs of
bids (bids range from $0.25 to $5).
Average of these bids is to be used as the maximum CPC to begin
with. As your ad campaign progresses, the actual conversion rate
(visitors turning to potential buyers/sales) will be determined and you
may have to adjust your CPC (bidding rate) accordingly.
When you start to bid, see to it that you adopt different bidding
strategies for various search engines. Search engines have their own
PPC systems that require different approaches. It is also worthy to
identify different bids for the same keyword phrases in various search
engines.
Another thing, it is wiser not to bid for the top spot for two reasons: 1)
It is very expensive and impractical, and 2) Surfers usually try
different search queries in various search engines before they settle on
the right one that fits to what they are looking for. This hardly results
to conversion. Try to bid for the fifth spot instead and work your way
up.
If you are now going steady on your PPC biddings, it is time for you to
develop your own bidding strategy accordingly. It is important for you
to track down which sites bring the bulk of your traffic and identify the
ranking of your paid ads.
This will help your bidding strategy to be effective and you should also
decide where you want your ad to be positioned. Usually your
maximum CPC will limit your choices.
Bid gaps (e.g. $ 0.40, 0.39, bid gap, 0.20, 0.19, 0.18) occur when
there is a significant price increase to move up one spot in the PPC
rankings. It is best if you take advantage of the bid gaps by filling
them in so you can save up your cents to other bidding opportunities.
Often there are keywords worthy of lesser bids to get the appropriate
ranking on the list and produce a good number of clicks and higher
conversion rate rather than bidding higher but having a poor
conversion rate. You have to put in mind that overbidding too is not
good but rather the best position for the most effective bid.
Using payperclick
bid management in promoting your website will
only be successful if you take time building many lists across many
engines and studying the performance of every listing. In this way,
you can make the most value from what you spend in the bidding
process. The key is to use the necessary precautions to stay ahead of
the competition.
Bid Management Tools
In ensuring best results, you may use bid management tools. There
are accepted and approved management tools that will help you in
your bidding. They are categorized in two different types:
• Web based (services by monthly subscription) or,
• PC based (a purchased software)
Monitoring tools too may help in the tracking down of your
keywords/phrases and search engines as to which among them often
generate sales, overall and in relation to your cost per click. This is
what you call return of investment (ROI) monitoring.
These bid management tools may include additional functions that
may not get from online marketing tools that are readily available.
Other tools can monitor competitor’s bids, produce reports for different
parties and offer the ability to interface with multiple PPC engines. This
is particularly helpful to those who manage more than a hundred
keywords across several PPC engines to boost productivity and save
time.
Payperclick
bid management is ideal for the effective promotion of
your business online without the hassles of draining your financial
keeping too much. It is now fast catching up as a means used in
marketing your goods and services to reach to as many consumers as
possible.
PPC Campaign Management
So you spent all your time and energy building the perfect website.
Now you want to share the fruits of your labor, and maybe even make
some money on the side through your online ads.
Maybe you have an online business that markets a hot product that
you are selling on your website; but you find that you are having
trouble bringing customers into your site. So instead of gaining
money, you are actually losing money because of the monthly rent
that you're paying to have your website hosted in cyberspace.
The best solution to this problem is to advertise. Let people know that
you are here and ready to do business. One of the quickest and most
effective ways to advertise your website on the net is to come up with
a great PPC campaign management plan. PPC is an abbreviation for
Pay Per Click.
Certain keywords or phrases that people type into a search engine
lead to hundreds and hundreds of search results that pertain to that
specific keyword.
Businesses that want to advertise on the net using a PPC campaign
have to come up with a plethora of keywords that is associated to the
business that they are running; so when potential customers type in
these keywords, it will lead them to their business site.
This is pretty much the whole concept that operates behind PPC. This
is how a PPC campaign brings in traffic to your site, with the selection
of the right keywords that people can search through the net.
Some keywords tend to be more expensive than others, especially
popular ones. It is vital to select the right keywords, in order to get
your money's worth. This is why it is important to manage you PPC
campaign wisely. Sometimes you are better off opting for the less
popular keywords that are not so expensive, especially if you have a
limited budget. Some businesses even hire the help of a consultant to
manage their PPC campaigns.
There are experts that specialize in PPC campaign management. They
come with strategic plans, and assess the need of their clients. They
then come up with a PPC campaign that caters to their client's
specification.
This is why big online businesses seek the expertise of a professional
to run their PPC ad campaign, because the right set of plans, can
potentially bring in a large amount of profits. The more keywords you
have, the more you increase the chances of customers clicking these
keywords that would lead them to your website.
If you are running a business online, and are planning to run a PPC
campaign, it is advisable to purchase keywords that are extremely
related to the theme of your business. This way, people know what
they are getting, and don't get confused about the content of your
website. The secret is to use keywords or phrases that are searched
frequently, but cost very little.
The chances are, the longer people stay in your site, the likelihood of
these potential customers making a transaction. But first thing is first.
You must lure them into your turf.
This is why a lot of entrepreneurs spend a large amount of their
budget on advertising, because they know that the right advertising
campaign can start the ball rolling.
Also, you should do some research before you start your PPC
campaign. There are a lot of PPC search engines to choose from.
Those who are less renowned charge less for the same keywords that
you'd find in the bigger PPC search engines.
The great thing about PPC campaigns is that you can reach a
worldwide audience. Advertising online means global marketing.
Most PPC search engines require a monthly payment in exchange for
their services. But if you fail to make payments, they will automatically
take your listings out of their search engines. So make sure that you
pay your monthly bills, so all the efforts that you put into your PPC
campaign don't go to waste.
The potential earnings that can be generated by starting a pay per
click campaign is significant. That's why a lot of online businesses now
are trying to get in on the act. Now, with the right set of keywords,
and a smart PPC campaign management plan, more than ever, online
businesses are bringing in the big bucks.

Affordable PPC Search Engine Advertising

PPC search engine advertising is by far the most affordable form of
advertising available. PPC search engine advertising is a flourishing
business that by 2008 is expected to reach $ 8 billion. PPC search
engine advertising is about producing leads. Creating leads will help
potential buyers find the specific website that will provide them with
the product or service they need.
However, PPC search engine advertising does not end there. It is
important to understand that although PPC search engine advertising
generates leads, it is also important for users to find relevant
information at the website they are directed to.
Information is a valuable asset in PPC search engine advertising that is
often left unchecked by many websites. Keep in mind that users are
more likely to purchase products or services from a company that
provided them with the necessary information they needed in the first
place.
Qualified Traffic with PPC Advertising
One of the benefits of PPC search engine advertising is that it provides
qualified traffic to a specific website. Users that click on a PPC ad are
those in search of a particular product or service. This helps eliminate
unnecessary clicks from nonprospective
buyers that only produce
expenditures not profits. PPC search engine advertising is also the
fastest way to get a reasonable return on investment.
A bidding process is used to establish the price of a specific keyword.
In general, the budget for PPC search engine advertising may be a
$100 to $100,000 depending on the number of keywords used. These
prices can skyrocket in just minutes as more and more sites bid for
the same keyword thus causing the prices to jack up.
PPC ads are placed alongside search engine results to which they are
relevant. The highest bids for a specific keyword or phrase gets top
billing on the search engine results page. Getting top placement
provides greater odds for a PPC ad to get clicked by a qualified
searcher.
Elements of PPC Advertising
PPC search engine advertising involves three basic elements; constant
monitoring, response analysis and refinement as the essential factors
involved in PPC search engine advertising. Proper management of PPC
search engine advertising can result in big profits for a website.
PPC search engine advertising makes it possible for sites to monitor
the productivity of each PPC ad they place.
This gives a site the opportunity to turn off any PPC ad that is not
performing at its best. PPC search engine advertising provides the
most economical way for a site to advertise on the World Wide Web.
The cost entailed in PPC search engine advertising is dictated by the
clicks made on a particular PPC ad. The number of clicks made on a
PPC ad is subtracted from the initial amount paid by the business to a
search engine company. To minimize cost and maximize return on
investment, a business will have to regularly monitor its PPC search
engine advertising campaign.
How to Use PPC Advertising
Many businesses are unable to get the most out of their PPC search
engine advertising campaign. PPC search engine advertising involves a
lot more than just bidding on the highest keywords. Information is a
main concern of many online users.
Providing online users with relevant information they need will help
bring about a more longterm
relationship with an online user that will
more likely result in a sale.
Information provided to online users may be in the form of a
newsletter or ezine
that online users would likely sign up for. Signups
may be enough to cover the expenses of a PPC search engine
advertising campaign.
Signups
also help generate leads for websites as they build opt in list
from qualified online searchers who clicked their PPC ad. Getting
personal information from qualified online searchers can be done in a
variety of ways such as offering freebies for surveys or signing up for
newsletters.
PPC search engine advertising is a continuous process that requires
hands on supervision and a thorough understanding of PPC search
engines. Businesses may opt to hire the services of a professional or
do PPC search engine advertising with inhouse
experts. Whatever
course of action is selected, a business is sure to get a huge return on
investment with PPC search engine advertising.

SEO or PPC?

The online community is definitely a large market place that you
cannot ignore, especially if you have an internet business. There are
thousands if not millions of consumers that you can tap in the internet.
At the same time, the internet also poses a quite different challenge.
The easy access that internet provides also gives you as much
competition as you can imagine. It is too crowded and congested.
Having a website is not enough to make your business running and
able to compete. You must take other alternatives to give way for the
online community to access your website at any rate or chance
possible.
You have to expose your website. Make it known. It has to be visible.
It has to be frequently targeted by consumers and surfers.
Invest in marketing your internet site. There are basically two options
available to you, the SEO and PPC.
These two are probably the most desirable alternatives you can get for
your internet business as strategy for search engine marketing.
1. SEO
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. Some researches indicate
that 60% 70%
of internet surfers and users actually resort to using
the Google search engine to find and locate web sites and pages, for
any topic they desire. SEO is the process taken to make sure that the
internet uses will find your website when ranked among the top results
of a search. This way you can make sure that you will be visible and
can clearly stand out from the rest.
To get a search engine optimization, you will have to build on your
own internet site frequently hit internet links to web site pages. The
process will involve IBLN or Independent BackLinking
Network,
wherein hundreds or even thousands of pages will be utilized to
promote a particular website of a client.
In SEO, there is no need for you to pay for the clicks although it will
require you to spend time doing research to get a favorable
combination of ads and target audience. The SEO process is a long
term one. It requires months, 6 months at the least, before the proper
outcome is fully achieved, but once the goal is accomplished, you will
definitely get a steady source of profit.
2. PPC
PPC means Pay Per Click. It gives way advertising on a search engine.
These are sponsored listings that you see whenever you make a
search. There will be a charge whenever a visitor or web surfer clicks
on any of your ads. There will first be a bidding process. The highest
bidder for the price per click will definitely get the chance to be first
listed in the search engine.
With this kind of advertising, you can still basically control your
campaign as you get to create your own ad. You will also manage the
target audience and still stay within the bounds of your budget. Most
of the providers of PPC advertising will allow you to specify the target
market, either by topic, industry or geographical location. You can also
very well check if your ad gets to be shown at all and if it is
competitive with the rest.
There are some guaranteed benefits when you get to maximize the
PPC strategy.
1. PPC lets you advertise to the whole of the online community. It
is also relatively easy to set up.
2. At first glance, PPC advertising may seem very expensive. Could
it possibly happen that someone out there will go on clicking on
your ad? This will definitely give you a large bill without the
expected profit on your part. If this provides a lot of worries, be
rest assured that there is a protection for you. Networks are able
to recognize fraudulent clicks.
3. You can also set a budget for a certain period. The moment your
budget has been used up by the target number of clicks, your
ads will no longer be displayed until the next period you want it
again displayed.
4. You will also be able to adjust well to changes in market
demands and trends.
In deciding which of the two strategies will work right for you, think of
your goals and of your resources. They definitely offer benefits and
advantages that will work for your good. The better way to approach
this two is to evaluate according to your short term and long term
plans. Take the PPC course for your short term goals and choose SEO
if you have long term ones.
There world is out there for you now. Just make sure you do what will
work best for your entrepreneurial endeavors and visions. The secret
to success lies in your hands. Just study your options well and you’ll
get exactly what you want.

PPC Marketing The Right Way PLR FILE

Introduction

The Internet has now become an important medium for product and
service advertisements. Almost every company that can afford print,
radio and TV advertisements have also ventured into placing ads on
the Internet.
But with millions of websites out there being visited by millions of
computer users, how can you make sure that your ad can be seen by
your target customers and that your leads will be followed by these
users? Here are a few tips.

1. Place an ad on the websites frequented by your target
customers. Before doing this, you need to define who will be
your target customers. Placing an ad on sites that they usually
visit will increase the possibility that your ad will gain the
attention and will be followed your target customers.
Also, consider the website's search engine placement, traffic, external
linking and the other ads placed on it. External linking will determine
if there are other sites that link to this site. This will mean that people
can get to the site where your ad is placed, even if they are browsing
a different site. Check if many of your competitors have ads on this
site.
2. Placing ads on some sites cost some money. However, there are
also sites that can place a link to your site, product or service in
exchange of having their link being displayed on your site. This
is also true about the newsletters sent by site owners to its
mailing list members regularly.
Also, having helpful links placed on your site and having sites link to
your pages help in boosting search engine ranking. This is similar to
making a statement that your site's content is important that other
sites have links to your web pages.
3. Payperclick
(PPC) is also a good method in Internet marketing.
You will only need to pay for the ad if the link is clicked. If you
prefer this method of advertisement, make sure that you are
using services that set limits on daily expenses. There are also
services that help you determine effective keywords and monitor
the PPC results.
4. Choose your domain name wisely. It is still being debated if
domain names matter when it comes to search engine
placement. Whether it does or not, having product related
domain names help consumers remember your domain, that
they can go back to your site even without the links.
5. Make sure you have useful content on your sites. While keyword
density is important in search engine placement, having useless
information or annoying repetition of keywords will not increase
your customer's confidence in your site. It may even affect your
sites traffic and can get your site removed from search engines.
So make sure that keywords are used strategically.
6. When thinking of keywords, think like your target customers.
What do you think are they going to search so they can get to
your site? Also, use specific keywords or key phrases.
Submitting a single word or a very general phrase to a search
engine will not get you to the top of the search results compared
to submitting specific keywords that describe your product and
services perfectly.
7. Track your ads. Always check how much you have spent on
placing links on frequently visited sites and on PPC. There are
services that allow you to monitor PPC transactions and how
many of these end in sales. You always need to consider if the
ads that you have placed on these websites are getting you to
your target consumers and if these ads can lead to revenue.
One final tip on marketing products and services, sell the benefits. It
will help your marketing strategies a lot if you highlight the benefits of
choosing your products and services instead of merely discussing the
product specifications. Product specifications may not mean much to
customers, unless they know what these stand for (how these
specifications affect the quality of the product or service).
Many people say getting to the top of search engine results is difficult
since millions of websites exist, which can be using the same
keywords. While this is true, this doesn't mean that your website has
to stacked under your competitors' websites when presenting search
engine results. Strategic advertising and linking, together with useful
content, can also get you to the top of the search results.

Lesson 7

In this final lesson I want to share with you some extra tips for getting the best
results from your Adsense endeavors.
1) When you are running an Ad Sense campaign, it is important to make sure that
you are testing all of the different possibilities to make sure that you are getting the
highest click through rate. Try to test different layouts on different pages to see what
works the best. To achieve proper result from your test it is important to use pages
that receive similar amounts of traffic.
2) Although testing is necessity, there are certain areas for your ads that are thought
to be more likely to encourage a higher CTR's than others. For instance, above the
page footer, below the header or navigation bar or on the top left hand side of your
page are thought to be very good. Typically the area in the middle above the main
content is thought to be best.
3. Take the time to provide quality content and make regular updates to your site to
help ensure you a steady flow of traffic to your website. This will help you receive
more ad impressions and more clicks.
4. Keep in mind that visitors can enter your website through a number of different
pages. So it is a good idea to incorporate Adsense on as many pages of your website
as possible. This will increase your overall impressions and hopefully your earnings.
5. Be sure to test the shape, size and color of your ad blocks. You can control and
customize every aspect of the ads so that they blend in with or stand out from the
rest of the content on your website.
6. Test the positioning of your ad blocks to help insure maximum click through rates.
Test different positions on different pages to see which layout achieves the highest
CTR. This will help you discover which areas of your pages that your visitors are
attracted to. Finding the proper position for your ad blocks will be a key factor in
your overall earnings.
7. Using different ad formats will provide different results for different websites. For
instance in most cases the wider ad formats like the large rectangles have been
proven to yield a higher CTR and be more effective than the slimmer skyscrapers
and banner formats. However, this may not be the case for your website - that is
why it is so important to test your results.
8. When you are trying to target specific keyword to attract a higher quality Google
ad for your site make sure that the keyword is repeated enough in the page so that
Adsense knows exactly what the page is about. Be careful though. You want to make
sure that the content still makes sense and is useful. Remember Google takes many
different aspects in to consideration while serving ads.
9. When Google has no ads to display on you site they will automatically show PSA's
(public service ads). If you don't want the PSA's to show on your site you can choose
to have the ad block filled in with a solid color, your own graphic or use the
collapsing ad units code instead.
10. Don't panic if you don't see any ads displaying on your new pages. It can take a
few hours before Google’s web crawlers find pages that have Adsense code on them.
You might see some PSA's at first but these will soon get replaced with targeted
Adsense ads that will earn revenue for you. If you continue to see PSA's after the
first day or two you may want to make sure you didn't violate any of the Adsense
program’s policies.
I sure hope you have enjoyed and learned a lot from these lessons. There is so much
information available about Google Adsense and although I couldn't cover everything
in this short report, I hope I have given you enough information to get you started in
the right direction.
Don’t forget to check out our special offer below. It can save you tons of time and
effort getting your Adsense business off the ground…

Lesson 6

Do you remember in the beginning of this course when I said that Adsense wants
you to be successful with their program?
Well it's true! They have provided you with most of the tools you will need to make
your Adsense business a success.
Tools like reports that you can use to track the performance of your ads. You will find
all of the stats from your campaigns under the reports tab inside your Adsense
account. There you will be able to learn things like the total number of clicks and
impressions for all of your ad units\blocks. You will also be able to view your
effective CPM (cost per thousand impressions).
Let me take a minute to clarify CTR's and CPM's for you.
The CTR (click through rate) for Adsense is the total number of clicks that you
receive for your ad units\blocks. It's broken down by individual ad units. The number
of clicks is then divided by the total number impressions for that unit to return your
CTR. The higher your CTR's the more revenue for you.
The CPM (cost per 1000 impressions) effective CPM is calculated by dividing your
earnings by the total number of page impressions that you receive, and then
multiplying the final figure by 1000. Be careful not to confuse your effective CPM
with your earnings. Effective CPM is generally used for testing various channels to
find out which ones are performing the best. If you need to know more about CTR's
and CPM's login to your account and check out the help files.
The reports can be displayed several different ways. You can view them by the day,
week, month or since your last pay check. You can also search for a specific date
range. You can customize the reports for advanced performance and tracking by
setting up different channels for more in depth results. For instance you can set up
channels to test one page against another, one ad format verses another, keywords,
or even whole websites to see which one performs the best. There are so many
options available with channels that we can't go into them all, but I'm sure you get
the idea!
You can also download your reports in CSV format (comma separated values format)
for better record keeping. Plus get your reports emailed to you automatically so you
don't have to login.
Adsense usually updates the stats every hour, so you can be pretty sure that you are
getting up to date reports.

Lesson 5

Let's talk about getting traffic and tracking it to improve your results.
Now, realistically there is no way I can go into every aspect of getting traffic to your
site and converting it to clicks, but what I can do it go over the basics with you and
hopefully give you some ideas that you can use.
There are many different strategies that you can use to make sure you squeeze the
maximum amount of profits out of the Adsense program.
Most importantly is traffic generation. Since the revenue that you generate from
Adsense is based on the cost per click (CPC) and cost per thousand impressions
(CPM) It stands to reason that the more traffic your have to your website the better
your chances are of achieving higher click through rates and making more money.
Which I assume is your ultimate goal!
Getting traffic can be a challenge to any webmaster. Here is a brief list of some of
the different methods that you can use:
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - Traffic exchange programs - Link exchange
programs - Writing and submitting articles to directories - Pay per click programs -
Blogs, weblogs or online forums - Email marketing
Once you start getting traffic you want to do everything you can to convert that
traffic in to clicks on your Adsense ads. Like we discussed in lesson one, a well laid
out web page with good content is the best place to start. It will help keep your
website visitors interested and they will be more apt to stay longer, come back often
and click on your ads more.
There are other tips and tricks that you can use to get people to click on your ads.
Like adding pictures that are related to that type of ads that you are showing to draw
more attention to the ads, but make sure that you adhere to the Adsense terms.
You cannot use pictures of people looking or pointing to the ads or in any way
indicating that people should click on the ads. The best thing you can do is make
sure the graphics incorporate nicely into the site design in a way that will enhance
the ads without shouting out "CLICK ME".
I know all of this may seem complicated and time consuming, but it will all become
clear as you become more familiar with the program.
If you need extra help or you want to know what other publishers are doing why not

Lesson 4

Google Adsense has many ways that they filter the ads that are shown on your
website. It is a good idea for you to become familiar with each of them so that you
can have a better understanding of how the ads are displayed on your site.
Why is this so important?
Because, if you know how the filters work you will be better able to edit the content
on your site to get the highest quality of ads on your pages. The higher the quality of
the ad the bigger the payout on your click through's.
Say for instance you discover a high paying keyword like "quick cash" that you want
to target your Google ads to, but Adsense keeps displaying ads that aren't exactly
what you were hoping for.
Then you know it's time to tweak your pages to make sure that the keyword that you
are targeting is repeated enough in the text so Adsense will display the highest
quality ad on your page. It takes some time and experimenting, but once you
understand how the filters work it will make your job easier.
If you need help knowing what your keywords are worth use the "View Bids Tool" –
click here. It will show you exactly how much advertisers are paying per click on any
word you type in. The higher the price, the better.
Google has also provided a handy little filter called the.... "Competitive Ad Filter"
I love this one! You can use it to keep certain ads from showing up on your site.
Adsense will actually allow you to specify competitors or advertisers whose ads
should not be displayed on your page. How great is that? Let's say you are selling a
specific product from the page where your ad blocks are displayed. The last thing
you want is someone selling the same thing to advertise on that page.
Keep in mind:
Although these filters are great tools that you can use to help boost your earnings be
careful not to filter everything or you may end up losing money by missing out on
relevant ads that get filtered out.
If you want to learn even more about filters you can log in to your Adsense account
and click on the help link at the top of the page. Then type in "Filtering Ads". It will
bring up a list of different topics related to filters. It's important to learn how to use
them effectively so that you can achieve maximum results.

Lesson 3

Let's talk about incorporating Google Search on your pages for extra revenue.
The Adsense for Search program is a great way of increasing your website revenue
while helping your customers search your site at the same time.
Tell me....
Have you ever been to a website and seen a Google search box on it?
Did you know that every time you type in a search from someone else's site and
then click on one of the results that are returned the website owner is getting paid
by Google? Think about that for a minute. By using Adsense for Search you can
actually get paid for giving people exactly what they are looking for!
This makes Adsense for Search a very powerful tool that you can use to increase
your Adsense income. Not only does it add more functionality to your site, it also
ensures you that you are giving visitors to your website precisely what they are
looking for. But it doesn't stop there. You can use it in conjunction with Adsense for
Content, plus you can include ad blocks that will be targeted to your visitors search
term on your search results page. These ads are gold because they will be relevant
to what ever your visitor types in the search box not just to the content of your web
pages.
Are you beginning to see the power of adding a Google search box to your website?
Adding the Google search box to your website is very simple. Google has complete
instructions on their website. All you have to do is copy and paste to code that
Google provides you with into your HTML wherever you want it to show up on your
page. Then you customize the search results page to suit your website’s theme,
include your Adsense ad blocks and you are all done.

Lesson 2

In this lesson we will go over the layout for your pages and why they are a key part
of your Adsense earnings.
With Adsense you can place up to 3 ad blocks on your web page. You will find
different theories on whether or not it is most effective to have your ads blend in
with or stand out from the content on your page. While some would say they have
better results when the ads stand out, in my opinion it is best to try and make them
blend in with the rest of the site as much as possible so that your visitors will see
them as content rather than advertisements.
Try mixing the ad blocks throughout your content to create a natural flow through
the page. The proper positioning of your ads should be done with great care. The
goal is to position your ads where your visitors are most likely to click on them.
According to research the first place most people look when they visit a website is to
the top left of the page.
Although it may seem to be a good idea to add bright borders, colors or links to
make you ads pop out on the page you will want to take in to consideration what
your visitors are looking for when they come to your site. If they are there looking
for information or a solution to a problem they would be more likely to click through
on a link that appears to be content rather than one that looks like an ad. If they are
there shopping for a product you may do better to have your ads stand out. Key
lesson here is....
“Always keep your visitor in mind when you are building your pages”.
Google has run tests that show horizontal ads tend to receive more clicks than
vertical ones. The idea being that a person is more used to reading horizontally. So
they are more likely to be attracted to this layout. The larger rectangular ads that
read horizontally have been proven to get more clicks simply because they are easier
to read and look more like blocks of content rather than advertisements.
Another tip for ad placement: There are certain areas to place ads that are thought
to be more likely to encourage a greater click through than others. For instance:
above the page footer, below the navigation at the top of the page and on the top
left hand side of the page.
Keep in mind that near the middle above the main content is thought by many to be
best place to put your ad blocks.
Let's say that you have 3 ad blocks on your page, but still want more. What can you
do? Here comes Google's link units to the rescue. You are allowed to add these in
addition to standard 3 ad blocks without breaking any of the Adsense rules. These
link units are a great way to incorporate ads that can look like they are a natural part
of your sites navigation menus, but when they are clicked on they take the reader to
a page of targeted ads that are related to the topic of your site.
I know this is a lot to think about, but it is very important to take the time to think
about your page layout. If you get stuck for ideas just start surfing. See what other
sites are doing. Where they are putting their ads. You will get some great ideas!

Lesson 1

In this lesson we will talk about building web pages with good content and why they
are an important part of making money with Adsense.
This lesson assumes that you already have a website or at least a basic theme in
mind for your Adsense pages. There are two ways that you can get started using
Adsense.
The first and easiest way is to put Adsense ads on existing pages that you already
have in place. You can do this by following the steps inside your account under the
"Adsense Setup" tab.
With this method you can start earning money with Adsense fairly quickly. In fact
you'll be amazed at the results you will be able to achieve in a very short period of
time.
The second method will take a little more time.
You will be building web pages specifically for Adsense ads. These pages will be built
with high paying keywords and high quality content.
Start by doing a keyword search to find some popular subjects, keywords or phrases
related to the theme of your website. Select the ones that have highest number of
searches. This means that more people are typing these terms into the search
engines. The higher the number the better.
There are many tools that you can use to find profitable keywords and phrases. For
quick and easy results I like to use the keyword selector tool at Yahoo Search
Marketing – click here.
It will give you a count of how many times any keyword has been searched for in the
last 30 days. Remember the higher the better!
Now start writing articles with original content based on the keywords from your
search. If you aren't a writer don't worry. There are many ways that you can get
content for your site. You can use private label articles that you purchase, or hire a
ghostwriter from a site like eLance.com.
Once you have the content ready you can start building web pages around the
articles that include your Adsense blocks.

Forums – Expert poster makes good, massive traffic entails!

Posting on forums, if used properly, can be an excellent way to get your name “out there”, and ultimately to build up a heap of traffic to your website.

Note the emphasis on the words “if used properly”. Good, relevant and useful content is the key here.

Let’s cut to the chase here, if you expect to join a forum and to post a huge advertisement, and then sit back and wait for the massive amount of traffic to hit your website, then your probably going to be disappointed (not to mention waiting for a long time for it to happen).

You don’t spam people with email (hopefully!) and spamming a forum is just as bad (effectively posting a huge advertisement is spam) and will more often than not get you banned from the forum, and your post will get deleted, not to mention you will quickly get a reputation as a forum spammer.

Even though the Internet is a huge place, you might be surprised on just how fast word can get around for things like this. Don’t risk it.
Not spamming is even more important if your trying to become an expert in your niche area, because chances are the forum you just got banned from was a major one for your niche market if you had done your research properly.

So what is the best way to use a forum to get value out of it?

Firstly, find relevant forums for your niche market, and take the time to read the rules generally of the forum, and specifically the rules as they relate to forums posts.
To find forums use the search engine and look for forums and your keyword phrases.

e.g. Forums for car wholesalers, do a search for forum car wholesalers.

Some forums will not allow you to post any form of blatant advertisement, others may allow a signature block at the end of the post that can point to a website, with maybe a brief description of your site, others may not even allow that. Take the time to read up on just what is and isn’t allowed for each forum you sign up with.

Once you’ve done that, actually consider if you’re going to be able to add value to the forum by posting. Do you have knowledge that can be used to help out other posters? Can you actually add decent content that is not just along the lines of “Sounds like you need my affiliate-o-matic program, grab it from my website”.

Recognise that you should be able to reply to posts without doing selling of any kind (although hopefully you selected a forum that allowed a signature block in your posts, so that at the bottom of each of your fabulous relevant, and expert, rich in wisdom posts, there is also a link for people to reach you).
This signature should NOT be the focus of the post though; the focus of your posts is to actually help people by solving the particular problem or issue listed in the forum post.
You will be amazed how quickly you can build up yourself as an expert in the forum, which adds immense believability and credibility to you on the forum, meaning people will start coming to you for help!

The other huge bonus is that forum posts usually get picked up by the search engines so that over time your answers will get into the search engine results, and low and behold there is a link to your website in them!

Note though that some forums do NOT get indexed in the search engines for various reasons, so don’t assume automatically that this will happen. As a test you should do a search in the search engines for posts for that forum to see what has been indexed to date. Chances are you found this when you did you initial investigation for suitable forums.
One quick way to check is to do a search for the entire website. In Google this is achieved by the typing the following: -

site:nameofwebsite.com

(obviously you substitute nameofwebsite.com with the site you are searching for).

Be specific here. For example if the website was overwhelmingtraffic.com but the forums were located at forums.overwhelmingtraffic.com, then do a search as follows:-
site:forums.overwhelmingtraffic.com
You will quickly see if the website and forum posts have been indexed by the search engines or not. Hopefully you can start to see the power of this, because each forum post you make is a one way link to your website which assists you in the search engine rankings (Refer to the One Way Link chapter for details about the importance of one way links).

This brings up an important point though…

Make sure your posts are in a forum that is relevant to your niche market. For example if you have answered questions in a gardening forum, and your signature at the bottom of each of your posts leads people to a sports site, you may be disappointed with the results.

In this case, assuming your website was sports related, you would have been far better off posting in a sports forum, but hopefully a sporting forum that is specific to the exact sports your website focuses on.

The search engines love relevancy, and you will find you will often actually lose points and valuable rankings if you are just concentrating on getting large numbers of links, and not paying attention to using relevant forums to your niche market.

Remember the golden rule about one way links, a relevant one way link to your website from another site (including forums) is far, far more valuable if both sites have related content.

So choose your forums carefully and ensure the ones you pick have lots of users, lots of posts, and most important are specifically related to your niche area i.e. the content of your website.

Forum postings once indexed stay in the search engines and other archives for a long, long time, and can continue to bring you traffic year after year. Don’t believe me? Just do a search for my name in Google (you do know my name, right?

Tim Buchalka just in case your mind went blank), you will see forum references dating back many years (1997 or earlier!). That’s right, forum posts I made over ten years ago are still sitting I the search engines.

Of course back then I was busy concentrating on running my ISP (since sold) and programming, so I wasn’t actively trying to “entice” people to click to my websites, although you will see examples of the use of signature blocks in you hunt far enough.
While you are at it, take the time to see if you can find any other Buchalka’s in the world because as far as we know our lot in Australia are the only Buchalka’s in the world (makes me feel important!).

Getting back on track, the other thing you need to consider (especially if your trying to sell a product via an affiliate link to another website that isn’t

your own) is to try and avoid long URL’s in forums (i.e. in your signature blocks).
Firstly they can look messy, un-professional, and can put-off would be clickers on your link who can “smell” an affiliate link a mile away.

Take the time to use a link generator to make your link “easy on the eyes” and more professional. If possible you need to consider the link you give out not just forwarding to a “sales page” because forum users who click your link and see a “hard sell” may be instantly turned off and click away.
It’s far better to link to an information page, which ideally would have information that is useful and relevant to the “clicker” (relevant, quality content anyone?).
That way the person who has just arrived on your page will hopefully get the information they required and then start looking around your website.

A good idea would be to have an “opt-in” on the page (where you request the first name and email address of the person) so you can follow them up. I have a whole chapter on mailing lists and auto-responders (to follow people up) so be sure to read up on that.

If you really want to get creative, you could set-up a different landing page for each forum with information targeted to that forum.

I suggest you invest in decent link tracking software so that you can see exactly where your visitors are coming from.

If you establish that a given forum is generating 80% of your forum traffic (quite easy to determine with decent tracking software installed on your server) then obviously you want to ensure that you concentrate on that website (although it could be an indication that you haven’t been putting enough time in on the other forums).

Forum traffic, although taking a while to build up (due to the need for you to become an “expert” and believable genuine person on the forum), can reward you over and over for many years. Whatever you do, make sure you use it to your best advantage, because chances are there is a huge untapped market just waiting to visit your website (and to buy any products you happen to be selling!).

I hope you enjoyed this article, another one will be arriving into your Inbox in the next few days.
